In a profesional context, or personal, Slack has become a very useful tool to communicate. I personaly use it a lot in my student association. Being aware of news release in the second has became a must in our society. But, once we have a notification on our cell-phones, we eventually read the article, but it can be quite painful to send a screen on a whatsapp conversation to talk about it with friends. That's where Slack comes into play, with its possibility to create dedicated channel for every topic we want. For this course, I created a channel named #projet-dww. Being aware of ecology issues, I wanted to have the World Wide Fund release on my dedicated channel, in order to discuss it with my friends. Let me teach you how to automaticaly do it. No need to screenshot an article or copy a link anymore.
API is an Application Programming Interface. It creates a link between two websites, but also a lot of other things. It allows us to exchange information, and to send it from a place to another one. The code of such an API being complicated for us, the website IFTTT helps us to connect APIs together without writing a single line of code.
